Description
Create your new email account in your web hosting account, typically from cPanel. Click on the tab 'Create a new account' and you will see a New Account Setup wizard.
- Choose email option and scroll down to click on 'Next' button.
- Enter your name and email ID in the window and click Next button.
- This section will require the Incoming (POP3) server name, which would be provided in your welcome mail, Click next button.
- Enter the user name as provided to you by your hosting provider. Click on next button.
- Enter an account name or simply a name in the box and press next.
- Click Finish button.
You can edit your email properties by clicking on 'View settings for this account', which will be inside the Accounts area. Enter the reply address. Ensure the box is checked for SMTP Authentication, when sending emails. This ensures that only you can send emails from your account. Most SMTP servers use the same username and password, as given by incoming POP3 servers. Click ok to save settings.
Email settings are saved into your account.
