It has been found that nearly two thirds of manufacturing industry respondents acclaim that the recession has made a huge delay, stoppage and cancellation in IT projects. The free Information Technology Effectiveness Index is an ongoing survey of IT effectiveness for small and medium base business. It has released preliminary analysis of the impact of recession on IT projects in various industries. The survey of ITEI results a releasing on Tuesday, the manufacturing industry have been given the hardest hit, with a delay of 66%, halt or cancellation of IT projects and a similar number for reducing the capital expenses during the last year. The industry respondents said that they are under staffed or critically understaffed in their IT operations. The manufacturing part is followed by communication at 55%, whole sale at 52% and service providers at 48%. Only 24% of value of respondents in computer industry said that there was understaffing in IT. The SMB technology provides a differentiation for supporting business growth. The results acclaim that the indication is for the capital expenses for budgets have been hit hard and adequate staffing for IT is struggle in many industries. The capital expenditure for IT shrinks technology trends for Software as a service and cloud computing offer businesses in an alternative option, which provides similar IT solutions, which can be delivered without traditional infrastructure.
